Cath Jones

Cath Jones is a prominent natural history author and researcher with a long history of field research. Her excellent knowledge of Australian fauna, combined with degrees in Biological Science and Journalism, enable her to write in layman's terms about some of Australia's most biologically fascinating creatures. Much of Cath's knowledge of Australian mammals was gleaned while working as a field assistant on the Orpheus and Lizard research stations in north Queensland, as a consultant in the preparation of a five-part documentary on the Great Barrier Reef and Torres Strait, and as a ranger for the Queensland National Parks and Wildlife Service at Noosa Heads and Cooloola National Parks. Over the past ten years, since turning her talents to writing, Cath has worked on a number of projects, completing work for the South Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service, ACT Parks and Gardens, and various natural history and Australiana assignments for Steve Parish Publishing.
